Ewy Rosqviast The Unexpected Champion
Senior Producer - Live action, digital social media
For Women’s History Month, my team and I created a film about the powerful yet little known story of trailblazing race-car driver Ewy Rosqvist – who was the first woman to win a Rally race, in the Argentinian Grand Prix in 1962 – one of the most intense long distance rallies in the world. Working with existing archival footage from the Mercedes-Benz global team, we were immediately inspired and quickly reached out to Ewy to help re-tell her story. This Ewy film marks the first part of a series of content to help rethink gender associations around toys and professions. This social films immediately created engagement and was the 5th most watched film on Mercedes-Benz Instagram channel to date.
